Hi there! I'm Christina Henderson, mom of three (ages 9, 7, and 1) and founder of Chasing Motherhood: How to Stop the Race and Enjoy the Ride.
I created Chasing Motherhood in December 2011. Pregnant with our third child, I was quite reflective on the blessing of family, yet acutely aware of how fast-paced, chaotic, and blurry parenting can feel at times.
Chasing Motherhood, was born as a place of refuge and inspiration for both myself, and hopefully you. I share tips and tidbits that help me find balance and appreciate the incredible gift of family.
A new feature on Chasing Motherhood are Q&A style interviews. Here are a few recent favorites:
WHY I STARTED BLOGGING...
I started my first blog out of necessity in January 2009 - Our Ducks in a Row: Allergy Tips for Moms on the Go - as an informative allergy blog dedicated to all that is good in life.
I know all too well that managing a child’s severe food allergy is daunting, frightening and often overwhelming. Three years after my son's multiple food allergy diagnosis, I stumbled upon Sophie Safe Cooking by Emily Hendrix, a cookbook that changed our lives. I knew instantly I had to find a way to share this sort of information and created Our Ducks in a Row.
My final blog entry in October 2010, "The Holy Grail", details our journey to the Pediatric Program at National Jewish Hospital in Denver, an answered prayer. I continue to keep Our Ducks in a Row alive so that anyone who finds the blog can learn about the amazing miracle workers in the Pediatric Program.
